Fast bowler Mitchell Starc has been ruled out of Australia's fourth and final Test against India, which gets underway at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on Friday.
Starc will return home to undergo on surgery on his right ankle in a bid to be fully fit for the Ashes later this year.
All-rounder Starc took two wickets and scored 99 and 35 in India's six-wicket win in the third Test in Mohali, where the Indians took an unassailable three-nil series lead.
The fourth and final Test starts in Delhi on Friday.
