Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bat

Oct 23 2013: Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bat first against South Africa in the second test match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Wednusday.

South Africa captaion Smith said "We were looking to bat first as well."

"Dale Steyn is fit to play. Imran Tahir is coming in for Robin Peterson, it is a must win game for us. Dean Elgar is in as well. As far as we know Hashim Amla's wife hasn't given birth yet, we wish him all the best and we hope that he will be back with us for the first ODI. Hopefully we will have a good five days."

Pakistan captain Misbah said "I think the toss is just the start of the game, obviously depends on how we do well on the field."

"We will bat first and we are unchanged. Everyone in the team is doing well, we just have to continue to do well. Just go their and play positive cricket, that's what we are looking to do. The pitch will suit us. It is a typical Dubai wicket and hopefully our bowlers will do well."
