July 22 2013: Shane Warne officially announced his retirement from all forms of the game on Monday (July 22), confirming he will not play with the Melbourne Stars in Australia’s Big Bash League.
During his international career, Warne was the first bowler to take 700 Test wickets and represented Australia in 145 Tests between 1992 to 2007. In all, he took 708 Test wickets at an average of 25.41.
He also took 293 wickets in 194 One-Day internationals at an average of 25.73.
